Today we spent most of the day at Leighton Moss (top picture) an RSPB reserve. Whilst there we saw a Spoonbill and a Marsh Harrier as well as some deer. After that we went to an old slate quarry to see a Peregrine Falcon nest. Sadly I did not take the picture above (my camera just aint good enough, take note wifey), but we got some great views of the birds and their 2 chicks through our scope.

Great pictures whoever took them.
I echo Dr. John -- and even with a great camera couldn't get a pic like that. I shake too much.

Oh, we get spoonies too down this way. Not sure about the marsh harriers though, will have to look that up.
Peregrines are just stunning!
I was just over at j.d's place and heard something about pictures - I love pictures. That looks like a lovely place to spend the day. I also enjoyed the rest of your pictures, especially the Clematis a few posts down; I've got some of those in my garden too.
Ah...more beauty.
RSPB? Isn't that what you write on an invitation to let them know if you're attending or not?
Beautiful pics. Wifey needs to pay heed. You are deserving of a camera that can get in tight on a Peregrine, Bazza. I will write you a permission slip to give her.
Cheers Gawpo
